Which challenges a leftist student union had to deal with in 2014-2018 and how a new generation paves its way to success now, from 2022 on
The student union "Direct Action" lies in the heart of the left movement in Ukraine. From its founding in 90-s to these days it had 4 generations, each with its own combination of ideaologies, own set of strategies, and surrounded by specific political situation. We will talk how the most recent, fourth generation learnt on mistakes of the the third one and is building a stronger foundation for its political struggle

My activism started in 2015 in Kyiv in the student union Direct Action. I was trying to bring natural science and anti-clericalism into the union. In 2019 I moved abroad, and since 2022 I am supporting Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees in a local organization in Aachen
